"We are so grateful for the amazing generosity of our 160 partner sponsors and 520 attendees this year and are thrilled to have surpassed last year’s fundraising efforts by $125,000,” said JP Fjeld-Hansen, vice president of Musket. “We could not be more honored to support Texas Children's Hospital’s impactful, life-saving work.”

Funds raised this year will help sick and injured kids like this year’s Texas Children’s Hospital Miracle Child, Juliana, who was diagnosed in-utero with hypoplastic left heart syndrome - a rare condition that leaves part of the heart critically underdeveloped. Delivered four weeks early with severe heart failure, she was immediately transferred to the cardiac intensive care unit and placed on the heart transplant list when she was just 11 days old.

A heart became available, and the transplant was successful. Her new heart began beating in her tiny body when she was just 17 days old, making her the youngest heart transplant patient at Texas Children’s Hospital. Today, Juliana is 8 years old and enjoys swimming, going to the beach, riding her scooter and playing with dolls.

“All of us at Texas Children’s are grateful for the continued support of Musket and Trillium and we are honored to have their partnership in helping us create a healthier future for children and women throughout our global community,” said Jennifer Smart, manager of philanthropy. “Their support helps provide the resources we need to carry out the work our physicians do every day.”

Texas Children’s Hospital, a not-for-profit health care organization, is committed to creating a healthier future for children and women throughout the global community by leading in patient care, education and research. Consistently ranked as the best children’s hospital in Texas, and among the top in the nation, Texas Children’s has garnered widespread recognition for its expertise and breakthroughs in pediatric and women’s health.
